We engaged Evan to tutor our son for the HSPT high school entrance exam. In prior practice tests, my son already scored in the 98-99 range for Math and Quantitative sections. I want to start by saying this was the third SAT tutor we tried in a short time period to prep my daughter. The first my daughter felt moved too slow, and she recognized wouldn’t be of help after first session. Evan had 4 weeks to prep my daughter for SAT. She started out with a 1240. He was able to finish the packet by the deadline and I am confident that he is prepared for the coming school year. Evan was invaluable in helping my daughter with her college algebra class. My son needed help in Geometry. He loves football and to stay with the team he had to pass his test. We needed a tutor and needed it now. I hired a tutor and I am sure she was good but it was not the right match for my son. She made it sound like there was no hope for my son and to turn him around it was going to take a long long time. My son refused to work with her and said he did not care for another tutor. After going back and forth with my son I convinced him to give another tutor a shot and if it did not work then we will come up with another plan. I saw Evan and read his reviews and thought he may be a good match. He looked like he could be the older brother to my son and put him on the right path. He came in and right away spoke to my son about football. Right there I saw my son’s interest rising and was ready to listen what Evan had to say. He went right into the subject and started working with him. He also knew how to work with my son to make Geometry not look like a task.
