EVAN SAYS:

“The SAT (for college admissions) was hands down better than the ACT until 2015 when it, ironically, became a lot more like the ACT. However, the new digital test still maintains some of its initial charm and is just as difficult. Moreover, the test is more thought-provoking than the ACT, but more aesthetic from a nerdy tutor viewpoint and you are less crunched for time. If you have become more calculator dependent over the years there is a "no calculator" math section, but if you know your times tables and can do some long division you should be okay. Essay is optional on ACT and gone from SAT."

MATERIALS ADVICE:

“I recommend The College Board's Official Digital SAT Guide. Hopefully more tests will be released soon. If you practice tests using their Bluebook app you also get the adapting to a harder or easier second module based on how you do on your first. If you plow through those tests, I recommend Princeton Review's prep guides as they actually approximate some of the exact problems found in The College Board's guide. ”
